Following the signing of Frank Vatrano yesterday, the Anaheim Ducks also signed forward Ryan Strome to a five year contract, which carries a $5 million cap hit.

Strome is 29 years old and this past season, the forward scored 21 goals and 54 points in 74 games. He took a huge step with the Rangers over the last three years and through 200 games since the 2019-20 season, Strome has scored at a rate of 22 goals and 66 points per 82 games.

The signing does create some questions though, with the Ducks already having young centers in Trevor Zegras, Mason McTavish and Isac Lundestrom. Regardless, Strome is a solid top-six option for the Ducks and should provide a major boost offensively.

A more in-depth article on the signing will be posted in the coming days.
