Team USA defeated Slovakia this afternoon, 3-0, at the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship in Montreal with goals by Sonny Milano (Plymouth, CBJ), Dylan Larkin (Michigan, DET) and John Hayden (Yale, CHI). Larkin finished with a goal and an assist and earned Player of the Game honors for Team USA for the second game in a row. Thatcher Demko (BC, VAN) stoped all 17 shots he faced while his teammates put up 45 against Denis Godla.
They only had one opportunity in this game, but USA is now 1-for-13 with the man advantage in the last three games.
I'll have more for you tomorrow during the off day, but they will face Canada on Wednesday in a New Year's Eve showdown for first place in the group.
