Columbus Blue Jackets: Milano, Collins Invited To USA's WJ Selection Camp (Blue Jackets)

It's been a disastrous season for the Blue Jackets at the NHL level, but the same can't be said for their prospects.

Some of their prospects are having real good seasons in their respective leagues, and that's headlined by the team's top two picks in 2014 - Sonny Milano and Ryan Collins - being invited to USA's World Junior selection camp.

Only 30 players were given an invite, including just 10 defensemen, so there stands a reasonable chance both Milano (a lock) and Collins (less of a lock but could very well make the team) both will be representing the United States when the World Juniors begin later this month.

Milano missed the first big chunk of the season with an injury, but has been exceptional with the Plymouth Whalers (OHL) since returning as the highly skilled forward has five goals and 19 assists for 24 points in 15 games played.

As for Collins, the 6'4" defenseman has four assists and no penalty in 10 games while playing with the University of Minnesota.

Hopefully for the Blue Jackets, and their fans, both of these guys are suiting up for the United States come Christmas time.
