According to Sportsnet.ca, the Ducks have placed Dany Heatley on waivers. Heatley was signed to a one year, $1M contract in the offseason. Injuries and lack of productivity have limited him to six games in 2014.
The writing was on the wall last night when the Ducks declined to dress Heatley against Vancouver, instead choosing to recall Max Friberg from the Norfolk Admirals. If Heatley clears waivers tomorrow, he could be sent to the minor leagues.
