If you've never seen Connor McDavid play hockey live, in person, you haven't lived. Watching the kid play is a sensory overload. He is so good.
McDavid, Nick Baptiste and their Erie Otters were too hot for the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds to handle.
McDavid set a new Otters record for points in a series with 19, breaking his own record of 14, set in the semi-final series with London.
In 15 playoff games played, McDavid has scored 19 goals and has added 23 assists. 42 points in 15 playoff games. This kid is a scoring super nova on skates.
The Otters claimed the Wayne Gretzky Trophy for the first time since 2002 Saturday night in game six with a 7-3 victory over the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.
In Game 6, in front of his own fans in a sold out barn, McDavid scored a beautiful goal and added four assists as Erie stuck it to The Otters closed out The Greyhounds four games to two.
Alex DeBrincat had a hat trick for Erie with Nicholas Baptiste, Jake Marchment and Nick Betz rounding out the attack.
It is not know who Erie's next opponent will be either the Oshawa Generals or North Bay Battalion in the OHL final.
If you missed Game 6, here are all of the highlights. Enjoy.
