Flyers Saturday Roundup (Flyers)

* Both games of the 2015 IIHF World Championship semifinals will take place on Saturday. The earlier game, starting at 9:15 a.m. EDT, will pit Team Canada, featuring Claude Giroux, Sean Couturier and (if he plays) Brayden Schenn against the host Czech Republic team, featuring team captain Jakub Voracek and the legendary Jaromir Jagr. The latter game, starting at 1:15 p.m., pits Team USA against Russia. Alexander Ovechkin has arrived in the Czech Republic to suit up for the Russian team. Both games will air in the Philadelphia area on The Comcast Network. Coverage starts at 9 a.m.

* Home teams remained winless in the 2015 QMJHL President's Cup Finals as the visiting Quebec Remparts defeated the Rimouski Oceanic at the 10-second mark of overtime on Friday night to claim a 3-2 win and three games to two lead in the series. Flyers 2013 first-round pick Samuel Morin played a solid game but finished at minus-one (plus-zero, minus-one) with one shot on goal, two credited hits and three blocks. He also triggered a Rimouski breakaway that did not result in a goal. Morin was on the ice for the Remparts' game-winner just 10 seconds into overtime. However, the tally was from a bad angle and should have been stopped by Rimouski goaltender Louis-Philip Guindon. Game Six will be in Quebec City on Sunday at 3 p.m. EDT.

* The Memorial Cup participants are now set, with the Oshawa Generals defeating the Erie Otters on Saturday to win the OHL championship. Both the tournament host Quebec Remparts and the Rimouski Oceanic will be in regardless of the outcome of their President's Cup Series. The other participant will be the WHL champion Kelowna Rockets, who completed a sweep of the Brandon Wheat Kings on Friday night. Injured Flyers 2013 third-round pick Tyrell Goulbourne (calf muscle surgery) is out for the rest of the season.
