The NHL draft is still a couple months away, but rumors are already beginning to swirl with regards to which players certain teams are eyeing.
One player the Blue Jackets may have their sights set on is forward Jack Roslovic, who was raised in Columbus.
Roslovic is the first born and raised Columbus kid to reach the U.S. national team development program in Ann Arbor, and he had a huge year.
— Aaron Portzline (@Aportzline) May 6, 2015The huge year Aaron Portzline was referring to saw Roslovic put up 38 points in 25 games with the USNTDP Juniors, and score 27 goals while tallying 79 points in 65 games with the U.S. National Under-18 team.
When asked about the possibility of the Blue Jackets selecting him at the draft - they have 11 picks in the draft, including three in the 2nd round - or trading up to get him, Portzline seemed to think it was a realistic proposition.
I could, sure. And it wouldn't be just to make a "hometown" pick. It would be legit. https://t.co/NqZmhne9HT

Whether anything comes of this on draft day remains to be seen, but the hometown kid certainly has the accolades to make him a worthy selection.
