Wild Pushed to the Brink (Wild)

The two games in St. Paul did not go how the Wild had envisioned and now they have a trip back to Vegas with their season on the line.

This series appeared from the outset to be one that would extend to at least 6 or 7 games, but it has quickly turned in favor of the Golden Knights who can close it out on home ice tomorrow night.

Winning the deciding game is always the toughest, and tomorrow I fully expect the Wild to come out with their best effort yet. They are not ready to call it a season and this team has been resilient all year.

The experience of games one thru four are fresh in the minds of the Wild as they make the necessary adjustments to raise their compete level. It is time for the Wild stars to raise their game.

It is interesting that in each of the last two games the turning point of each was a disallowed Wild goal. There is really nothing that can be done about those calls, however the team must be better in their response.

Experience pays a huge role in the playoffs and Vegas has a lot more recent playoff success to draw on. The Wild are learning that first hand.

Game five will test the mettle of this Wild team...
