A new short term deal for the journeyman defenseman on his new home in Columbus.
A 4 year, $4M dollar cap hit. $16 million total.
Erik Gubdransson was the third overall draft selection of the Florida Panthers in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, with only Tyler Seguin and Taylor Hall being drafted prior. Gubdransson was moved from Florida with Nick Bjugstad to Pittsburgh for Derrick Brassard and picks. Gubdransson was then flipped to the Vancouver Canucks for Tanner Pearson. Gubdransson then jumped from to Vancouver and Ottawa and Nashville. Last season with Calgary, he was part of the bottom unit with Nikita Zadarov, making it to the second round against the Edmonton Oilers.
Worst. Move. Ever.
