Tuesday night pix - Can the Sens snap their losing streak? (NHL picks)

Last night 3-0 +3.00 Units YTD 28-27 +1.32 Units

We have 9 games on tap tonight, with 2 rematches from last night involving the North Division. There aren’t many game totals under 6 tonight, seeing some 6.5 totals too. Lets see if we can find a few winners tonight after a perfect night last night. Three of the last four nights have been winning nights for us, lots of ups and downs during the season so it’s nice to be on the right side lately.

Three angles that I have been tracking that might be something to look at both short and long term are as follows.

Scenario #1 – Teams that are playing each other in back to back games, in which the home team loses the first game, the record of the home team in the second game is 17-7! Winnipeg fits the system tonight!

Scenario #2 – Teams playing back to back road games on consecutive nights tend to go under the total in the 2nd game. So far that trend is 7-7 when teams play on the road back to back nights. Vancouver and Calgary fit the system tonight.

Scenario #3 - One last angle I am tracking that is slightly profitable and similar to Scenario #1, is when any team loses the first game of a back to back against the same team, regardless if it’s on the road or at home, those teams are 21-16 in that situation. Ottawa, Vancouver and Winnipeg fit the system tonight.

Quick stat updates - First period totals going over were 4-1 last night and are 65-74 on the season. Road teams were 2-3 last night and are 55-84 on the season. Home side the way to go even with the higher juice on the ML! Game totals going over the total were 4-1 last night and are 77-60-2 on the season, which is still a very profitable angle.

Gamenotes for tonight –

Buff/NYI – 6pm start time, NYI has only had 2 home games so far this season, lets see if they get on a bit of a run at home with 3 very winnable games upcoming. Plus very good value tonight at -135.

Canes/Hawks – Nice value with Chicago at +165 as they are a much better team at home this season.

Minny/Colorado – Be sure to check the status of Nathan McKinnon tonight, plus the Wild have several players out with injury. After the Wild split the first two against the Avs in Minny, they now play two in Colorado.

Sens/Oilers – Total is set at 6.5 and there is no reason to think that this game won’t sail over the total again. Can the Sens break their 8 game losing streak? Check back later, with the 10pm EST start, I am waiting on goalie and line up info.

Plays all for 1 Unit each – NYI –ML(-135) Canucks/Habs u6.5(+103) Flames/Jets u6(-111) Sens/Oilers o6.5(-121)

Feel free to ask any questions in the blog and I always get back to everyone. I will have Twitter and Instagram going shortly. Good luck tonight!
