Nice looking card tonight, with 5 of the 8 games being rematches from the last few days! Not many goals scored last night with 5 of the 6 games going under. Lets see if we can find a few more winners tonight with our system plays! One angle to strongly look at is Scenario #1 tonight. It’s hitting a whopping 73% this angle!
Three angles that I have been tracking that might be something to look at both short and long term are as follows.
Scenario #1 – Teams that are playing each other in back to back games, in which the home team loses the first game, the record of the home team in the second game is 22-8! Washington, Ottawa, Florida, Nashville and Dallas fit the system tonight.
Scenario #2 – Teams playing back to back road games on consecutive nights tend to go under the total in the 2nd game. So far that trend is 9-8 when teams play on the road back to back nights. Edmonton/Ottawa and TB/Nashville fit the system tonight.
Scenario #3 - One last angle I am tracking that is slightly profitable and similar to Scenario #1, is when any team loses the first game of a back to back against the same team, regardless if it’s on the road or at home, those teams are 27-20 in that situation. Same teams as Scenario #1.
Quick stat updates - First period totals going over were 0-6 last night and are 88-91 on the season. Road teams were 4-2 last night and are 75-104 on the season. Home side the way to go even with the higher juice on the ML! Game totals going over the total were 1-5 last night and are 99-78-2 on the season.

Sens/Oilers – Sens continue to tighten up defensively going under the total in 4 straight games.
TB/Preds – Can the Preds stay disciplined and put together a 60 minute effort on homeice?
Flyers/Caps – Caps have rebounded well off a loss, especially when on homeice.
Sharks/Kings – SJ continues this insane stretch on the road, playing their 11th straight road game!
Red Wings/Panthers – Florida was embarrassed on homeice Sunday afternoon and have a few days to stew over it, look for a huge effort tonight!
