The road trip wraps up tonight in Chicago as the Wild faceoff against the Blackhawks. Last night's 2-1 defeat in Detroit left Dean Evason stating his team played all too cute and got away from their identity against the Wings.
Chicago has definitely sold out to go all in on the Connor Bedard sweepstakes, but they have been a feisty squad through the first few weeks of the season. They have dropped their last two after winning four straight.
Marc-Andre Fleury gets the Wild net tonight after Filip Gustavsson played a strong game between the pipes last night in Detroit.
The five game trip has seen the Wild win twice, lose once in regulation and once in OT taking five of eight possible points.
This is time to fill the points bank, and the Wild have not played up to their potential to this point. Evason needs to get his guys playing consistent Wild hockey and get this season turned around quickly. It all starts tonight.
It's always Hockey Day in The State of Hockey!
