The New Jersey Devils took care of some business in advance of training camp, locking up defenseman Damon Severson on a six-year, $25 Million contract.
The 23-year-old blueliner scored a career-high 31 points last season and has been locked up for the same amount that the Devils signed Adam Larsson to prior to his being dealt to Edmonton for Taylor Hall last July.
