Saturday Pix - 6 Plays!!! (nhl)

Thursday night - 3-1 +2.68 Units Last night 2-0 +2.58 Units YTD 27-22 +1.66 Units

With the site down for maintenance, my Friday Pix showed up for a bit for some of you readers but then it was down as we hit two small dogs in NYI +146 and NJ +112 as they were catching teams in great spots. Situational plays right now are money if you read my info on each game in my daily blog. If you watch how I've been playing the last 4 nights, I only hit small favs or dogs. Early in the season, there's no value in hitting big favs. The last two nights it has been an even split with road/home teams winning, but after the overs hit at a 6-4 clip on Thursday night, last night the unders hit in 5 of 6 games!

Overall, home teams are 75-57 to start the season with games going under the total on the season at 62-46-2. But last night all three games went under the total with two of three road teams winning. We have a 12 game card today! Let's see if we can find more winners tonight!

NYR/DAL - 2pm EST - NYR has lost 4 in a row and only scored 5 goals in those 4 games. Both teams have gone under the total in 5 of their last 6 games. This should be a great goaltending battle, lean to the under as I don't trust NYR in any spot lately.

OTT/FL - 4pm EST - The Sens had their 4 game win streak snapped against the Wild and now visit a very disappointing Panthers team. Florida's blueline is one of the worst in the league and I see Ottawa exploiting it this afternoon. Florida is home for this game before going back out on the road for another road trip. Sens are a ridiculous dog at +168 while FL has done nothing to warrant being a -205 fav.

TB/SJ - 4:30pm EST - TB is playing their 3rd in 4 nights in Cali after splitting the first two games. SJ meanwhile hit as a nice dog over the Leafs the other night but has only won 3 games this year.

TOR/LA - LA has been a dog in 3 of their 4 wins so far this year and is a nice small home dog catching the Leafs in their 4th straight road game. The Kings have gone over the total in 7 of their 9 games so far this season whereas the Leafs have gone under the total in 7 of their 9 games this year.

MTL/STL - The Blues have lost 3 in a row after winning their first 3 games of the season. STL -280 isn't worth the play, but I wonder if MTL can sneak up on the Blues with former STL goalie Allen in goal against his former team, the Habs rested him in Buffalo so he could play in this spot. MTL +225 is a nice dog, might be worth a shot.

CAR/PHI - The Flyers are still getting no respect and are a nice dog on home ice at +160. The Canes are in an awful spot, they lost last night off their 5 game roadie and looked tired. The Flyers sat rested last night while the Canes got blown out at home. No way should CAR be -196 as a fav on the road!

CHI/BUF - The Sabres have lost 2 in a row after winning 4 of their last 5 games, while the Hawks had their 4 game winning streak snapped the other night by EDM 6-5. Kane always gets up for this game back in his hometown, now BUF -178 seems extreme for two teams that are actually pretty close in talent. Hawks +146 small is worth a play.

MIN/DET - The Wings have lost 4 of their last 5 games while the Wild have won 3 of their last 4 games after a slow start. This will be the Wild's 4th straight road game so watch for their backup goaltender to get some time in goal.

COL/NYI - The Avs are playing back to back on the road and their 4th straight road game. The Avs have gone under the total in 4 straight games after going over the total in their first 4 games. The Avs are off until Friday after this game, so a small lean to COL -132 as I don't trust NYI even though they've won 2 straight, plus they played on the road last night too.

WSH/NSH - I trust neither team but the Preds snapped their 5 game losing streak the other night in crushing STL 6-2. Pass for me.

PIT/SEA - The Pens are playing back-to-back on the road and looked awful last night in Vancouver. This will be their 5th game in 8 nights on the road and have lost their last 3 games. With PIT -152 and SEA +126, it looks like Vegas is begging for Pens money, but hard to go with them in this tough road spot as they'll have no legs!

EDM/CGY - The Oilers have won 3 in a row and 4 of their last 5 games but this will be their 3rd game in 4 nights on the road. The Flames are in the middle of a 7 game homestand, are 4-1 at home and are rested as the Oilers have played the last few nights while Calgary has been off since Oct. 25th so this is a great spot for CGY!

Playing Today all for 1 Unit each -

OTT - ML(+164) LA - ML(+126) PHI - ML(+160) NSH - ML(-125) COL - ML(-132) CGY - ML(-150)

Good Luck Today! Puckpix
