Bruins continue to surprise this season, another huge road win in Philly! Vegas looked strong in their first game in almost a week, same goes with SJ. There a couple of system plays for tonight. See below!
Three angles that I have been tracking that might be something to look at both short and long term are as follows.
Scenario #1 – Teams that are playing each other in back to back games, in which the home team loses the first game, the record of the home team in the second game is 21-8! St. Louis and Anaheim fit the system tonight.
Scenario #2 – Teams playing back to back road games on consecutive nights tend to go under the total in the 2nd game. So far that trend is 9-8 when teams play on the road back to back nights. SJ/Anaheim fit the system tonight.
Scenario #3 - One last angle I am tracking that is slightly profitable and similar to Scenario #1, is when any team loses the first game of a back to back against the same team, regardless if it’s on the road or at home, those teams are 26-20 in that situation. Vancouver, Anaheim and St. Louis fit the system tonight.
Quick stat updates - First period totals going over were 2-3 last night and are 79-83 on the season. Road teams were 2-3 last night and are 64-98 on the season. Home side the way to go even with the higher juice on the ML! Game totals going over the total were 2-3 last night and are 91-69-2 on the season, which is still a very profitable angle.

AZ/STL – Afternoon game as the Blues look to rebound at home. Pitt/NYI – Isles first game in 6 nights while it’s the Pens first game in 5 nights. Look for a tight defensive game. Canucks/Leafs – If the Leafs bring a level of consistency to their game, there is no reason they won’t beat up on a fragile Canucks team. SJ/Anaheim – SJ playing their 10th straight road game, look for the Ducks to rebound at home. Oilers/Flames – Can the Flames continue their winning ways after the players only meeting?
