Carolina Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind’Amour was named the winner of the Jack Adams Award yesterday, as NHL coach of the year.

Brind’Amour led the Hurricanes to a 36-12-8 record this season, which was good enough for top spot in the Central Division. He holds a career record of 120-66-20 in his three seasons as an NHL head coach.
