The Panthers have released their opening night roster and due to the combo of being up against the cap and injuries, they are razor thin heading into this season.

Looking at the forward group and it’s easy to see that this will be a much different style of play than the high-flying offense of last season. Will they be more defensive-minded and tougher to play against? Time will tell…
I’m curious how Josh Mahura will play. They obviously scooped him up yesterday as an emergency move due to Kiersted being injured. I thought Carlsson would slot in, but I guess Mahura is a low risk move and does give a bit of depth on defense.
In order to become cap compliant, the Cats placed Duclair on LTIR. They then placed Dalpe, Sourdif and Kiersted on “season-opening injury reserve.… This rounds Florida out to 20 players and close to zero wiggle room in the finance department - leaving Panthers fans sweating like George after he eats kung pao chicken (“George likes his chicken spicy.…)
It’s going to be an interesting season…see you guys on Thursday!
Go Panthers!
