Here are how his goals and points per game averages in the KHL compare to those of other players in their KHL season played at 24 and 25 years old respectively:
-24 YEARS OLD-
Nikita Gusev: 0.42 G/GP, 1.25 P/GP Nikolai Prokhorkin: 0.34 G/GP, 0.70 P/GP Vladimir Tkachyov: 0.25 G/GP, 0.76 P/GP Ilya Mikheyev: 0.37 G/GP, 0.73 P/GP
-25 YEARS OLD-
Nikita Gusev: 0.41 G/GP, 1.15 P/GP Nikolai Prokhorkin: 0.49 G/GP, 1.00 P/GP Vladimir Tkachyov: 0.24 G/GP, 0.84 P/GP
Based on his stats alone over the last two seasons, Tkachyov doesn’t necessarily project as a high-end forward. That said, he could certainly be a quality secondary contributor and it’ll be exciting to see what he’s able to do at the NHL level.
