It's How You Finish (Wild)

The Wild prospects pulled off an improbable comeback from a third period 5-1 deficit to defeat the Blues prospects 6-5 in the opening game of the Traverse City Tournament.

Luke Kunin got the comeback started with his first of two goals, with 9:06 remaining in the third period. Joel Eriksson Ek scored at thr 16:01 mark to make it 5-3 before Iowa Wild head coach Derek Lalonde pulled Adam Vay in favor of the extra attacker. Gerald Mayhew and Giorgio Estefan drew the Wild even at fives with goals coming a minute and a half apart.

Luke Kunin capped the comeback just 33 seconds later and the stunning come from behind victory was complete.

Ivan Lodnia scored the Wild first goal while Mason Shaw added two assists, a good first impression from the 2017 draft class. Lodnia (+3) and Shaw (+2) were also plus players in the game as well.

Next up for the Wild prospects are the Blue Jacket prospects Saturday at 6:30PM
