In this edition of the hotstove, we discuss whether the Minnesota Wild can overcome two losses at home to start the series or if the St. Louis Blues have all but officially won.

It's very difficult to come back from two games down, especially when the losses came at home. In saying that, I think the Wild can come back and make things interesting, if not win the series outright.
Through two games the Wild have out-chanced the Blues 55-29 and dominated territorially. Jake Allen has played extremely well but he is not as good as he is showing right now. If the Wild continue to out-chance the Blues like they have, it's only a matter of time before they break through in a big way.

After two games, Minnesota is a 61.62% CF team, while St.Louis is a brutal 38.38%....so yes, the Wild can and likely will come back. Jake Allen is OK, he isn't Jesus, and he'd have to be to win two more times while his team plays like garbage in front of him. If Minnesota keeps playing smart hockey, they can make a comeback. St.Louis (at least so far) looks like the worst team that made the playoffs, and even though they're up by two, I can't see them pulling this off.
