The Los Angeles Kings defeated the Minnesota Wild by a score of 2-1 last night and have now won three of their last four games.

Minnesota did a pretty good job shutting down the Kings’ offense and the forward group had trouble getting much going. The top line had a quiet night, that said, the fourth line looked good and Carl Grundstrom specifically seems to be playing with more confidence.

Cal Petersen didn’t get a ton of work early on but faced more chances as the game progressed and played really well. There were some chances where Minnesota’s forwards had time and space in a good location and others where Petersen had to slide to make challenging cross-crease saves. Despite the goal he allowed being a bit weak, he looked great overall.

The Kings probably weren’t the better team but in the end, they got the win.
