Follow me on twitter Follow @stlgoalie The Blues wrapped up their third preseason game in as many days on Sunday with a 4-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins in one of the Kraft Hockeyville games. In doing so, the Blues outshot the Penguins 38 to 24.
The Blues came out with as strong first period outshooting the Penguins 14-8 but being on the short end of the scoreboard as Jake Guentzel one timed a pass from Sidney Crosby past Carter Hutton. The play originated with an ill-advised pinch attempt by Alex Pietrangelo. Joel Edmundson tried to defend the 2 on 1 by sliding but Crosby easily saucered a pass over him.
The Blues started the second period strong with Vladimir Tarasenko scoring a little over 3 minutes into the period. It was a typical Tarasenkgoal, drilling it in off the far post.

It appears I was wrong on the cuts as only Niko Mikkola was assigned today, going back to the Finnish Elite League.
More on the Blues potential roster moves tomorrow.
It’s a great day for hockey.
Fellow Hockeybuzz bloggers Nashville Predator's Paul McCann, Winnipeg Jet's Peter Tessier and Minnesota Wild's Dan Wallace have generously agreed to a friendly charity wager. We were hoping to do the whole division but don't have it fully represented yet. The blogger whose team finishes the highest the standings at the end of the year gets to pick a charity to whom the others will donate in their name.
