Winnipeg at Nashville Whichever team wins this one will have a major head start towards the playoffs. It really is a tale of two teams. The Jets SHOULD have made the playoffs way before now…The Preds were sellers, remember? And yet here they are. In their own building, the best place to watch hockey in the NHL, with a chance to shock the hockey world. Winning today won’t guarantee playoffs, but it would be a huge step towards something bigger… That house will be rocking. The Buzztron picks the Preds…but in OT.
Carolina @ Buffalo This old rivalry holds some new found tension for sure. The Sabres have a crazy 5 games left. And the Buzztron has them winning 4 of them…But NOT this one. If the Sabres did win all 5 they would be likely to beat out the Pens for the final playoff spot.
Florida @ Washington The Panthers have been making a statement as of late. They aren’t just winning games. They are dominating. They have their mojo from their Presidents Cup season back. But the Capitals, especially in DC, has been an Achilles heal for them. The Buzztron has them missing the playoffs, but winning today. I feel they are the best of the four teams battling for the Wildcard. The team the top teams would least like too play. The problem is the Penguins and Isles have such easy schedules. If either falters at all, or the Panthers win out they will make the playoffs..
