With Gary Bettman’s announcement yesterday, we got some insight into where the NHL will be going from here.
We know that the regular season is over, meaning we may not see the Anaheim Ducks back on the ice until as late as 2021. We also got the lottery odds, which didn’t favour the seven eliminated teams more than they favoured the bottom seven teams last season. Anaheim will have an 8.5 per cent chance at the first overall pick but can also pick as late as eighth overall. Here are the odds for each team:

We’ll find out if the Ducks get one of the top three picks in the first stage of the draft lottery on June 26.
