The Philadelphia Flyers have signed Jakub Voracek to an eight-year, $66 million extension starting in the 2016-17 season. Voracek could have been an unrestricted free agent next summer.
The Vancouver Canucks do not appear to be wasting any time in getting newly acquired forward Brandon Sutter locked up on a new deal.
Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reports that an extension is being worked on and it will likely be in the neighborhood of five years at $4.4 Million per season.
