Start here today....
To start with, there is something I have been tracking very closely over the past day or so, I keep getting told that a prominent player could soon enter this trade market somewhat unexpectedly (think Marty St. Louis last year). Those with exact knowledge aren't yet saying anything specific, only to tell me it's NOT Joe Thornton or Patrick Marleau, but that is the level of the player in question.
On Santorelli...
There are no shortage of teams looking at Mike Santorelli. In the past I have mentioned the Blues, Canucks, Flames, and even Penguins. Now, I am hearing we can add Nashville to that list. I could very much see that.
On Mike Green...
Teams are calling for sure. Washington is still undecided but obviously wanted to see what the market could be for Green. I believe Detroit is the best bet still.
On Del Zotto...
A very under the radar story this year has been the play of Michael Del Zotto. He has been really REALLY good. He steps up in the play nicely and he is fast enough to cover for the chances he takes. The Flyers are getting opportunities to move him, but I wouldn't be shocked to see him suddenly extended. In fact I would say that could be the most likely course of action.
On Kadri...
Right now the market to move him is surprisingly sparse I am told. The Leafs should learn from history and bring him back in my opinion. Try and keep him. I can't see he is in much of a bargaining position to demand too much...the "bridge deal" was made for this kind of scenario. The Leafs and Kadri both require more time to really and accurately determine what he is.
