Goalies: Michael Houser and Dustin Tokarski
Buffalo Sabres players have the day off on Monday.
The team will return to the ice on Tuesday morning to prepare for the season opener against the Washington Capitals on Thursday night in Buffalo.
General Manager Kevyn Adams has reduced the roster by 8 players.
The following players are now eastbound and down on New York Interstate I-90 to Rochester:
Forwards: Brandon Biro, Steven Fogarty, Brett Murray and C.J. Smith
Defensemen: Casey Fitzgerald and Ryan Jones
Goalies: Michael Houser and Dustin Tokarski
There are no great surprises here.
Adams and Ralph Krueger are now tasked with finalizing their final roster and the taxi squad player roster. We now know from Monday's roster cuts that Jonas Johansson will be Buffalo's taxi squad goalie.
Jonas Johansson is the taxi squad goalie? Looking that way. Why not Tokarski? #Sabres

More to come on the taxi squad.
The Sabres and all NHL clubs are mandated to submit their season-opening player roster to the NHL by 5:00 p.m. Eastern on Tuesday January 12.
