The trade deadline has passed and the Predators made a small; depth move in acquiring journeyman winger P.A. Parenteau from the New Jersey Devils for a 6th round draft pick in the 2017 draft. A fair price for a veteran player that can score, a solid top nine forward that has 13 goals and 14 assists so far this season with a New Jersey team that had a fairly hard time scoring…
Parenteau has 483 games of NHL experience with seven different NHL teams and is coming off one of his best seasons, potting 20 for the Toronto Maple Leafs last season.
The 6’ 200 lb. winger was a ninth round pick in the 2001 Entry Draft and spent quite a bit of time in the minors before finally making it to a full-time NHL gig in the 2010-11 NHL season with the New York Islanders

Overall a good, low risk, potential high reward move from David Poile… no word on when Parenteau will join the team.
