Ducks tie it 2-2 on Carrick's 2nd goal. Not to pick nits, but Lankinen got the initial stop and didn't control the rebound.

Just saying. He thinks rebound control is a strength for his.
Rebound control is surely something Lankinen can improve upon under the tutelage of goalie coach Jimmy Waite. Yet, how much of that loose change in the crease is really Lankinen's fault and not something that can be attributed to the shoddy defense in front of him?

Stauber played 3 seasons in the USHL for the Sioux Falls Stampede and another 3 seasons in the NCAA, first just one game as a freshman at Minnesota State University-Mankato then at Providence College as a sophomore (11-7-5, 2.24, .916) and as a junior (21-14-2, 2.10, .921).
Looking to next season, Lankinen is likely re-signed to a short-term contract extension while Soderblom has a year left to continue as the top goalie in Rockford. Stauber could make Morris expendable by starting his pro career this fall as Soderblom's backup.
That would leave Delia and Morris in the lurch as it's doubtful the Hawks would roll with a pair of young stoppers who have a 82 combined NHL games to their credit. An NHL veteran signed on the cheap for 1-2 years could certainly be in the cards this summer.
