The Los Angeles Kings announced today that they’ve hired Manon Rheaume as a Hockey Operations and Prospect Advisor.

Rheaume won a silver medal as a goaltender with Canada in the 1998 Olympics and is well-known for being the first woman to play in an NHL game by suiting up for the Tampa Bay Lightning in an exhibition game.

Her role with Los Angeles will focus primarily on prospect development.
