Kings re-sign Frederic Allard and Matthew Villalta

The Los Angeles Kings announced today that they’ve signed defenseman Frederic Allard and goalie Matthew Villalta to one-year contract extensions.


Allard is 24 years old and was acquired from the Nashville Predators at the trade deadline. He managed 10 points in 15 games with the AHL’s Ontario Reign following the trade and his cap hit will be $750,000.

Villalta is 23 years old and has spent the last three seasons with the Reign. This season, the netminder managed a .903 save percentage in 46 games and his deal carries a $787,500 cap hit.
