Ok, maybe he's a little hot, but as we've seen in the past this is the player that Jack Hughes can be when healthy.
Hats off(literally and figuratively) to the Rangers/Wolfpack for putting up a pretty strong effort, but in the end 86 was just too much for New York. If not for Jack, what an even more depressing year this would be for us Devils fans.
Things are finally going the Devils' way here of late, but unfortunately will be a bit too late. A few months ago that hattrick puck doesn't find Jack.
Other Notes:
- Love the crest grab celly on the second Hughes goal.
- Hamilton SMH...another turnover filled, poor game by 7. He did somewhat accidentally block a shot that could've saved a goal in third however...still rather see the touches given to Nemec, Luke and even an Edwards or Casey.
- The "Grit" in Gritsyuk is well deserved. Love how he dropped the gloves with the bigger Parsinen after a late hit on Brown. Hey Fitz! Re-sign Grits! IMMEDIATELY!
- Don't get too excited, the Devils still need to go 15-4 in the final 19 to have a realistic chance to make the playoffs. With that said, even if they do, this roster isn't built for much playoff success...
