Sabres Looking For 3rd Win In A Row in Boston (sabres bruins)

Updated 5pm:

The Boston Celtics played a matinee at TD Gardens today, therefore, there were no morning skate sessions for either team.

WGR's Paul Hamilton tweeted that Jhonas Enroth would be the starter for the Sabres tonight. Confirmation will come when/if Enroth leads his team onto the ice for pregame warmups.

Enroth is 1-6-3 with a 2.60 GAA and ,908 save % this season.

He played well, making 24 saves on 26 shots that he faced, in his last start against Calgary on December 14th. Matt Stajan scored the OT GWG for Calgary in the first minute of OT.

Hamilton reports Linus Omark will skate on a line with Matt Ellis and Kevin Porter in his Sabres debut.

Brian Flynn will skate at center for the injured Cody Hodgson.

* Ryan Miller is 26-9-7 against the Bruins in his career, with a 2.56 goals against average and a .919 save percentage. He hasn’t lost consecutive starts to Boston since the 2008-09 season, posting a 14-4-3 record in his 21 games against the Bruins since those losses. In his last four starts against the Bruins, Miller has a 3-1-0 record, with a .954 save percentage and a 1.48 goals against average. Miller is the prime reason the Sabres are on a win streak for the Sabres. Miller has been in net for four of the five games and made 34 saves against the Bruins on Thursday night. Miller is 3-1-0 with a 1.72 GAA in his past four starts, and he stood on his head on Thursday night.

The Sabres are looking to win three games in a row for the first time this season. Miller has beaten Winnipeg and Boston back-to-back.

Did you know that Boston Bruins starter Tuuka Rask is 0-4-1 with a 4.25 GAA in his last six games against the Buffalo Sabres?

* The Sabres and the Bruins will face off tonight in the second half of a home-and-home series after Buffalo’s 4-2 win over Boston on Thursday night in Buffalo.

The Sabres are 10-6-4 all-time in the home portion of their home-and-home series with the Bruins and 9-5-5 in the road games.

Buffalo has a 8-5-7 record in the first game in the previous 19 home-and -home sets against Boston and an 11-6-2 record in the second game.

* I'm expecting a Rask-Miller duel in Beantown tonight.

* The Sabres have scored four goals in consecutive games entering tonight for the first time since April 2, 2013 at PIT (4-1) and April 5, 2013 vs. OTT (4-2). With four goals tonight, they would extend the streak to three games for the first time since the last three games of the 2010-11 season. (The streak officially ended at the end of the season, but the Sabres also began the 2011-12 season with two straight four-goal performances.

* Linus Omark will make his Sabres debut vs. Boston. Who will his linemates be? Omark scored 14 goals and 15 assists in 29 games in Oklahoma City this season. The kid's mitts are as silky as lingerie. Nice contrast and counter-balance to all of the coarse sand paper in the Buffalo lineup. #SKILL

Linus will have the honor of wearing Mike Foligno's #17.

* John Scott will likely draw into the Buffalo lineup in a hostile Boston barn.

Update: The Boston Celtics play an afternoon game at TD Garden so there are no pregame skate sessions.

Starting forward lines, D pairs, and starting G's later today.
