Yesterday we saw two surprising dominoes fall, and as per usual in the aftermath we are hearing who was interested in Evander Kane and Tyler Myers, and we are learning that Myers had more suitors than expected.
While most expected Myers and Kane to be dealt at the draft, removing their chairs from the circle means teams are getting a little more edgy as to whether or not they will have a seat remaining when all is said and done.
So pick your metaphor -- dominoes or musical chairs -- never play both at the same time though, just saying.
Which brings us to Keith Yandle, another player most thought would be a draft trade.
Now? Not so much.
The Anaheim Ducks, Tampa Bay Lightning, Detroit Red Wings and Colorado Avalanche were all interested in Myers, and suddenly are turning to the next biggest fish, Keith Yandle.
The Kings weren't in on Myers, but are very much in on Yandle.
This is really getting good.
