Wild Assistant Darryl Sydor Pleads Guilty (Wild)

Darryl Sydor pleaded guilty to second degree driving while impaired and will serve at least 15 days in jail, beginning Friday.

The Wild released a statement following the ruling:

The Minnesota Wild is aware of the plea agreement reached today by Assistant Coach Darryl Sydor and respects the decision made by the Anoka County District Court. The team will continue to support Darryl, and his family, as he continues with his recovery. His return to the organization will be addressed at a later date.

Sydor apologized for his actions and thanked the Wild and the community for the support he and his family have received.

Here's hoping Darryl gets the help and support he needs to return to his family first. Then hope he can rejoin his Wild family as soon as he is ready.
