Returning home after a disappointing performance in Denver, Lindy Ruff's Dallas Stars (1-1-0) play host to Todd McLellan's Edmonton Oilers (0-2-0) on Tuesday night. Game time at the American Airlines Center is 7:30 p.m. CT.
This is the first of three meetings between the teams this season. The clubs will play each other again on Dec. 4 in Edmonton before the season series concludes with a rubber match in Dallas on Jan. 21.
The Stars enter the game coming off a 6-3 loss in Colorado. The Oilers got blanked by Nashville, 2-0, on Saturday.
The Stars will have a few lineup changes. Kari Lehtonen will make his first start of the 2015-16 season. Additionally, Valeri Nichushkin is slated to be a healthy scratch in favor of Colton Sceviour.
This game will be the Stars' first look at Edmonton wunderkind Connor McDavid. Taylor Hall (illness) is questionable, while Jordan Eberle (shoulder) is out. Anders Nilsson will get the start in goal.
