Scariest player in the NHL (Penguins)

Happy Halloween.

Simple question: Who is the scariest player in the NHL?

It's a subjective question you can answer however you see fit.

For me it is pretty simple. Connor McDavid is the scariest player in the league. No other player in hockey should strike more fear in a defenseman than Edmonton's captain. Nobody has his speed and very few have his puck skills. Sidney Crosby is probably the only other player who has full control of the puck when going top speed.

It is almost impossible to get proper gap control on McDavid and even if you do he can still blow right by you. He is a one man breakout.

Don't blink you may miss him.

He uses that speed for zone entries and then can draw people in which opens up opportunities for him to display his passing skills

No player has a better chance of earning penalty shots and breakaways than McDavid

His career is young and we will be treated to many more electric plays from him as the years go on.

The scariest thing is that he is only going to get better. He's about four years off from being in his prime and he is already dynamite. Let's hope this young man doesn't get his willingness to make plays coached out of him like has happened with many star players over the years. Let McDavid be McDavid.
