Ryan Pulock out 4-6 weeks (NHL)

Islanders defenseman will miss the next 4-6 weeks with a lower-body injury. Pulock suffered the injury in the first period of Friday's 3-2 win over the Arizona Coyotes.

Pulock played just 3:57 last night before the injury. He quarterbacked the first-unit power play for just over a minute. The unit, although failing to convert, looked in synched. Through the first five games the power play has converted 7.7% of the time.

There was some rumblings after the game that the poor ice was to blame for the injury. Newsday reported this morning that it was not the case. Pulock was up with the Islanders on an emergency basis to replaced Nick Leddy, who missed Friday's game.

Leddy practiced this morning with the hope of playing tomorrow against the Minnesota Wild. It was assumed last night that Adam Pelech would be recalled but no announcement has been made yet.

In other news, the team has waived Eric Boulton, who will likely clear waivers and report to Bridgeport.
