UPDATE:
The NHL released 23-man rosters for every team Wednesday and the only Avalanche surprise is that Mikko Rantanen is listed as injured, while John Mitchell is listed on the active roster. But they could easily be flip-flopped before the opener Saturday against Dallas at the Pepsi Center.
The Avalanche outscored teams 16-5 while going 6-0 in the preseason.
Rantanen sustained an ankle injury during the rookie showcase, but he took part in the full practice Tuesday, his second in three days. Mitchell has been nursing a hip flexor injury and didn't practice Monday or Tuesday. The Avalanche didn't practice Wednesday and will be back on the ice Thursday.
The active roster includes the following 14 forwards, seven defensemen and two goalies.
Forwards (14): Gabriel Bourque, Rene Bourque, Joe Colborne, Blake Comeau, Matt Duchene, Mikhail Grigorenko, Jarome Iginla, Gabriel Landeskog, Nathan MacKinnon, Andreas Martinsen, Cody McLeod, John Mitchell, Ben Smith, Carl Soderberg.
Defensemen (7): Tyson Barrie, Francois Beauchemin, Eric Gelinas, Erik Johnson, Fedor Tyutin, Patrick Wiercioch, Nikita Zadorov.
Goalies (2): Semyon Varlamov, Calvin Pickard.
There are six newcomers: The Bourques signed one-year contracts Monday after reporting to camp on professional tryouts. Colborne, Tyutin and Wiercioch signed as unrestricted free agents July 1, and Smith signed as an unrestricted free agent Aug. 16.

Comeau (groin), Iginla (hip) and Rantanen took part in full practice Tuesday.
"The whole (rehab) process was to make sure I was ready for the season opener," said Comeau, who skated with Martinsen and Smith on Tuesday. "We took the safe route and made sure I could get through practice, then work my way in for Saturday.
"Everything felt good, it was a really positive day. I feel the last two, three days have been good. I skated on my own (Monday) and it felt pretty good. Today was to make sure I could get through practice without any problems, and I was able to do that." Like Comeau, Iginla hadn't practiced for a while and said he felt fine.
"I'm looking forward to Saturday," said Iginla, who added having six days between last Saturday's game in Las Vegas and the season opener is a positive thing.
"We have a new coach and a new style, and every day we're working on stuff to try and get better, so this gives us a little more time," he said. "You kind of itch to get going, but I think the extra practices can be good and we'll try to make the most of them."
Iginla also said the Avalanche's 6-0 preseason record can be used as a positive. They won one preseason game in each of the two previous seasons and got off to poor regular-season starts both times.
"We've had a lot of changes, so we can see the benefits," he said. "Even though it's preseason, it's not so much about wins and losses, it's about trying to put good periods together, what we're trying to do differently. It's nice to get some feedback, we're doing some good things. It's paying off and giving us some confidence."
