On James Wisniewski & His Ploy To Try And Remain A Blue Jacket (Blue Jackets)

The Blue Jackets are shopping James Wisniewski and clearly don't him to be a part of their future, but Wisniewski is doing all he can to ensure that he is.

I can understand what Wisniewski is doing, but it could very well backfire. He can only list 10 teams he won't accept a trade to, which means he can be traded to 19 others.

By listing teams that need him as franchises he won't go to, he could end up forcing Jarmo Kekalainen and co. into moving him to a situation that isn't ideal to him.

In a perfect world Wisniewski closed some doors and forced the Jackets to keep their best defenseman, but that kind of ploy could tick management off and make them even more persistent on moving him.

In the meantime, Wisniewski continued to play quality hockey on Tuesday night, as he had an assist, four shots on goal, and owned a 71CF% at even-strength.

There have been plenty of quality players that have forced their way out of Columbus, and now management seems intent on moving a good player who desperately wants to stay.

I like Jarmo Kekalainen, but it's hard to get on board with what he's trying to do right now.
