1. Washington Capitals (35-8-3)
First in goals per game, first in goals against per game and first in points.
2. Chicago Blackhawks (33-15-4)
Corey Crawford has quietly been one of the NHL's best goaltenders this season and the Blackhawks are scoring like crazy.
3. Dallas Stars (30-14-5)
The Stars have won just two of 10 but their underlying numbers remain as impressive as they did when they couldn't lose. They'll be fine once their goaltending gets back on track.
4. Los Angeles Kings (30-15-3)
Last time out the Kings picked up a 3-2 win in San Jose against the surging Sharks while playing without Milan Lucic. That's a nice way to bounce back from a couple losses.
5. Tampa Bay Lightning (26-18-4)
They've won eight or 10 and are just five points behind Florida for 1st in the Atlantic.
Jason Lewis 1. Washington (35-8-3)
How many weeks straight is this now? All of them?
2. Chicago (33-15-4)
Crawford is playing well, and Kane and Panarin are un-freaking-real right now.
3. Los Angeles (30-15-3)
Bit of a scuffling week but still one of the most competitive teams out there
4. Florida (28-15-5)
Corrected a bad run through Western Canada with dominating performances against Chicago and Tampa Bay. Back to back no less.
5. Tampa Bay (26-18-4)
Hard charging right now to catch Florida, but got chomped down on Saturday. Still 8-2-0 in their last 10. 26 goals in their last 8 games. (3.25 per)
