The Dog Days are upon us.
The Hawks still have much offseason work to do.
And the volume of mail in my inbox is rising, so it looks like it's time to do an organized "send me your questions" kinda thing.
Send me your Hawk or NHL-related questions and I will do my best to respond to all of them via PM—and some will be featured in an upcoming "mailbag" answers blog.
As far as discussion on the message thread of this blog, we've done a pretty good job on the last few blogs of unpacking the Hawks' cap and roster situation—logically and based on known factors.
But what, in your opinion, could be the big, "I never saw that coming" move that Stan Bowman will make to get Marcus Kruger signed, maybe get a veteran d-man and get under the cap?
Maybe it includes parting ways with Kruger? Some have maintained in previous comment threads that Kruger is nothing more than a "fourth line" center—yet evidence suggests that's really not the case.
Tell me why he is. Tell me who Bowman gets to replace what he does?
Maybe Bowman moves an Andrew Shaw. Or a Teuvo Teravainen. Why?
Big unexpected move thoughts on the comment thread. Questions to my inbox. Go.
Enjoy your Sunday everybody.
JJ
