Not guilty is how Buffalo Sabres forward Evander Kane has pleaded to charges alleging he grabbed three women during an altercation at a downtown bar in June. Kane and his attorney were in Buffalo City Court on Monday morning.
The Vancouver, B.C. native was involved in a disturbance at a Buffalo dance club on June 24. He turned himself in to Buffalo police on July 22. Kane was charged with non-criminal harassment, disorderly conduct and trespass.
According to WBEN, Kane's attorney Paul Cambria said that video surveillance shows Kane grabbing a woman by the throat are false. Kane's attorney said that he will not be releasing the video.
According to reports, Kane did not speak with media sfter his court appearance Monday morning.
Kane is due back in court on September 9.
