Isles Buzz Podcast - Denis Potvin ("NHL""ISLANDERS")

Update 4:55pm: Jaroslav Halak out minimum of six weeks

The Islanders, coming off two emotional playoff-type games, head north of the border for a classic trap game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

We wait to hear the severity of Jarolsav Halak's injury suffered in the third period last night against the Penguins. Halak has had a history of groin injuries. Thomas Greiss replaced Halak and will likely start tonight.

Greiss has been unbelievable for the Isles. If Halak is out for an extended period of time it will be interesting to see how Griess handles the work load. He has played 29 games already, four more than his career high. You also have to credit Garth Snow for hanging on to Jean Francois Berube for a raining day. Well the forecast is a little iffy at the moment.

The best defenseman in Islanders history and NHL hall of farmer Denis Potvin joined the podcast today. Potvin covers the Florida Panthers for FOX Sports Florida. The Islanders face the Panthers next week.
