Injured/ill: Ryane Clowe, Stephen Gionta, Damon Severson, Bryce Salvador.
What to watch:
1) I've always liked Zubrus, but at this point he's nothing more than a bottom-6 forward who will do well in possession, and contribute minimal offensively. How a guy with two goals and seven points in 42 games has made his way to the top line with the Devils' two best offensive players is beyond me, but here we are.
2) Speaking of lineup decisions, the Devils are 13(!) points out of a playoff spot, yet they continue to dress the likes of Pete Harrold and Mark Fraser - neither of whom have futures with the team - instead of playing a young defenseman like Eric Gelinas. I don't know what he did to deserve this.
3) Ottawa has been scoring a lot of goals of late, and the Devils have been allowing a lot of shots - and getting few - so Cory Schneider will need to be on his game once tonight.
4) Bobby Ryan has been red hot of late tallying two points in three consecutive games. Perhaps Larsson and Greene can snap that streak, as they've been playing excellent hockey of late.
