The answer is "Brett Gallant, John Persson, Kevin Czuczman" The question, "who are three players who played for the Islanders in their last win vs the Montreal Canadiens?" That last occurred April 10, 2014, a span of 5 games. New York heads to Montreal tonight look to avoid their second straight season series sweep.
Thomas Greiss gets the start in net. Greiss relieved Jaroslav Halak in Friday's 5-3 lost at the Barclays Center. Halak allowed 3 goals on 11 shots in the first period. Arguably his worst performance of the season. Greiss came in to start the 2nd period and saves 15 of 16 shots. Carey Price returned from injured reserve and looked a bit rusty. The reigning Hart and Vezina winner made 33 saves on 36 shots. He will start tonight.
A couple other lineup changes for Isles include Adam Pelech for Marek Zidlicky and Taylor Beck for Steve Bernier. Pelech has not played since his NHL debut November 13th vs Anaheim. Pelech played well but naturally was scratched for the last 3 games. Pelech will be paired with our good friend Brian Strait, who was a minus 3 in 12:34 of ice time Friday. This is Beck's first game since he made his Islanders debut November 8th.
Ryan Strome's Bridgeport timeout continues. He finally scored his first goal Friday night. I would imagine that Strome will be up following Thanksgiving.
