Follow @james_tanner123 Ah, poor Coyotes. You can't win for losing.
I am sure the players on the team don't feel this way at all, but for fans hoping to pass Buffalo and guarantee one of McDavid or Eichel, it's a slight blow after the Coyotes came within three points recently.
For Arizona, it was their first non-shootout win since February 3rd. Since they don't have winter in Arizona, a ground-hog popped out on the second of February and predicted six weeks of losing instead of more snow.
That groundhog nailed it, as the Coyotes went 23 straight games without winning (except for twice they won in a shootout, which doesn't really count).
So, you can't say the win last night wasn't deserved or needed, even if it wasn't helpful.
In the game, the Coyotes scored five goals, matching their total for the previous five games. OEL had two helpers and Arcobello had three points.
But still, the Sabres lost. (Detroit however is now probably looking in the mirror and seeing that Ottawa is closer than they appear).
Honestly, this season is bizarre. You can't even enjoy a victory when it's the only won you've had in almost two months.
But, luckily, their is only 8 games left and the Draft Lottery will likely occur on April 18th.
Circle Sat. April 18 on your Tank For McDavid calendars. It’s not locked in, but league leaning to first Sat. of playoffs for Draft Lottery.
