Follow @james_tanner123 The Coyotes beat the Canadiens 3-2 last night, finally showing who is the true Kings of the Province of Quebec. It used to be le Canadiens, but now it is the Arizona Coyotes.
Having conquered Quebec, the Coyotes will now travel to the land of Manitoba - home of the famous Manitoba Man Eating Saskwatch - and attempt to prevent the Jets from enjoying whatever weird Canadian tradition they perform on the 21st of November.
It truly is a great time to be a Coyotes fan, as the team is racking up the points and currently sit 2 points behind the Blackhawks, and 3 points off the Division lead, a quarter of the way through the schedule.
Exciting fact #1: The Coyotes have racked all these points up and there is no reason that they couldn't acquire a centre (or three) for their current roster, or that they couldn't do what they should have done years ago and put Murphy and OEL together, or find a way to harness Domi into a solid possession player (for instance put him with Duclair).
That would be so fun!
Exciting fact #2: At this point Anthony Duclair is a superior player to Max Domi. Now, why is this exciting? It's because we know Domi is going to be great. Duclair had some questions. He is looking to be like a legit top line player because he makes everyone he plays with better. If he's doing that in his rookie year, look out.
I always thought this was an underrated album:
To be honest, I am still pretty annoyed they didn't put him in the NHL since the vast vast majority of players of his skill level have not been sent back. He currently is second in the OHL in scoring after a streak that saw him put in 10 points over four games.
Also cool: He is tied with Coyotes other prospect Christian Dvorak with 36 points in 17 games. They are tied for second, but have more points per game than the leader.
Coyotes prospect Ryan MacInnis is 11th in scoring. Also, some jerk with the unfortunate name of Stephen Harper is 17th. You can't make this stuff up.
