Day six of the IIHF World Hockey Championships has concluded. Some expected wins, some shocking moments and heartbreaks were offered.
USA 6:3 Great Britain
Although Team GB was expected to be run over by the Americans it wasn't as easy as many expected. The first period concluded with a 1:1 tie following goals that were scored by James van Riemsdyk and Mike Hammond. In the 2nd period Keller, Kreider and DeBrincat gave the US a 4:1 lead seemingly putting an end to the drama. Brad Perlini scored another one for GB towards the end of the period. Meanwhile, in the 3rd period, Kane and Ryan put an end to GB's misery while Ben Davies got one for his team as well.
The Swiss team had been ready to come out and play against Norway and it showed quickly as Ambuhl gave the Swiss side a 1:0 lead with only 5:30 played in the 1st period. Nico Hischier added another one for them with a smart play behind the opposing net. In the 3rd period, Swiss side got two more while the Norwegian side managed to get one of their own to avoid a shutout loss.
