UPDATED: Dumba Injury Requires Surgery (Wild)

The latest Wild loss is another 2-1 defeat this time at the hands of the Penguins in Pittsburgh.

That makes three straight losses and a total of two goals scored in the three defeats.

If you take away the two lopsided wins where the Wild were clearly playing lesser talented teams with the Panthers and Canadiens, the Wild have five losses and scored four goals in those five.

Take away the biggest offensive catalyst from the Wild blueline and the questions about where the offense will come from becomes alarming.

The bright spot of course is the emergence of Jordan Greenway as a real force but where are Granlund, Stall, and Zucker?

On a positive note Paul Fenton has not resigned Staal or Koivu based on past performance.

What is the plan coming out of the trade freeze. Does Fenton let the free-fall continue or does he make significant roster changes?

UPDATE: The news is not good on Matt Dumba after receiving a second opinion it has been determined that he will in fact need surgery and will be lost for a significant amount of time. The Athleti5reported yesterday that if Dumba was to need surgery his recovery time would be "months" and possibly season ending. That is an enormous blow to the already struggling Wild.
